“ The Swiss Chalet in Vail, CO is a very authentic Swiss restaurant. For our main course, we had the Matterhorn Raclette, which comes with a hearty portion of steak, sausages, and vegetables, along with raclette cheese that you melt and cook at the table. It made the meal fun and interactive, especially while enjoying a glass of wine. It was excellent. For appetizers, we tried the Käsespätzle and the Artisan Sausage Sampler. Both were great and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We paired everything with a Swiss Pinot Noir (Domaine du Beudon, 2019), which matched the food really well. Overall, the food was absolutely great. The restaurant is really pretty, and the atmosphere feels like a Swiss mountain restaurant — cozy, warm, and inviting. Lastly, and most importantly, our server Sigi made the evening even better. She took great care of us, and if we go back, we will definitely ask for her again.
